Whether challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, family problems or relationship issues, we are all seeking peace.

My role as a therapist is to help you find peace within yourself. I offer a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you navigate life’s challenges. Together, we can determine the best approach for you.

I believe each person has the wisdom within to guide their own journey. Ultimately, you will be the source of healing and change in your life, and I will be alongside you as a catalyst, providing direction and support.

I look forward to taking this journey with you!

About Me

Welcome! I am Rita Horn, Clinical Social Work | Certified Brainspotting Therapist, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming to all people. I provide counseling to individuals, couples, and families in the Indianapolis/Carmel area. I have been helping people transform their lives for 30 years.

My practice is based on my belief that our greatest wealth lies in our relationship with ourselves, which is then reflected in our relationships with others. By doing our own work in therapy, we free ourselves for greater self-acceptance and satisfaction in our relationships, and for more authentic self-expression in our lives. My passion is to help people find peace within themselves. I believe this work ripples out into our communities, and ultimately, to our world.

I believe that peace in our relationships, communities, and world begins with peace within me. To this end, I have been intentional about doing my own work. I have known the deep love of committed relationship and the heartbreak of death and grief. I have known the joys and challenges of parenting, the complications of navigating family relationships, and the ongoing comfort of life-long friendships.

Through my own intentional and deep healing work, coupled with years of professional training and experience, I have developed a great understanding of how to help people move from pain to greater integration and stillness. My work with clients is grounded in family systems and mindfulness-based therapies.

I offer a combination of evidence-based approaches including brainspotting, parts work, cognitive behavioral techniques and guided imagery.

“If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we,

but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work.”
